Для этой цели не требуется слово или концепция "Бог". Бог это отнюдь не семантическое предположение или воображаемое изобретение вербального мозга, в которое надо поверить, как учит религия. Это сила внутри человека, явленная как сама любовь к жизни и страстное желание жить. Будучи детьми, мы всеми силами сопротивляемся потере этой первоначальной силы, бьющей из нас ключом. Именно это стремление любая культура, в особенности мусульманская и фундаментальная христианская, стараются сломить любой ценой, и они это делают.
Одно ограничение порождает необходимость в других ограничениях, и чем больше их появляется, тем больше потребность в них. Апостол Павел был прав: без закона нет чувства вины или стыда. А если нет вины и стыда, никогда не появятся законы и ограничения, ибо в них никогда не возникнет потребности. Человек, о котором заботятся, а не стыдят, которого любят, а не пугают, развивает совершенно иную часть мозга и, соответственно, другое сознание. Он не станет действовать против благополучия другого человека и против его большего тела - живой земли. Детьми мы знаем, что являемся неотъемлемой частью развития всех вещей, как объясняет Лидлофф и как продемонстрировал Иисус. Мы можем и должны вновь открыть это знание.
