«9-го мы счастливо прибыли к устью реки, у мыса Грасьяс-а-Дьос, — пишет Равено де Люссан, — и вышли в море, в котором с большим удовольствием признали Северное море; там мы вынуждены были дожидаться английского судна, ушедшего на острова Лас-Перлас, которые лежат в двенадцати лье к востоку от мыса. Мы оставались там до 14-го числа с проживавшими там мулатами, которые в течение нескольких дней кормили нас рыбой…»
Когда английское судно вернулось к мысу Грасьяс-а-Дьос, французы договорились с его шкипером, что он отвезет их на Сен-Доменг. За эту услугу шкипер взял с каждого флибустьера по 40 пиастров.
6 апреля судно благополучно достигло французской гавани Нипп, а 8-го числа бросило якорь на рейде Пти-Гоава. Так закончилась эта беспрецедентная четырехлетняя экспедиция флибустьеров в Южное море, в ходе которой многие из них сложили свои буйные головы, а те, что уцелели — по крайней мере, многие из них, — вернулись домой вполне состоятельными людьми.
